Today, we spent the day at a reunion for families who's little ones have had heart surgery. It was a great experience and a great opportunity to celebrate life. I can't tell you how sweet it was to drive up and see little ones toddling all around, and know that if it weren't for God's use of the people at UNC, these children wouldn't be here.
So precious.
The picture below is our surgeon's assistant, who took it upon her to follow Shepherd closer than anyone else and be at our beckon call for about 2 months.
Yeah, we like her.
We also got the opportunity to share a little bit of Shepherd's story with the news crew there and you can watch that
Then...the boys got some "face" painting, only on their arms, and only instead of butterflies or hearts...
it was a horse running for Haddon.
