I don't have much energy right now, so I'm gonna try to keep it short.

Shepherd is still doing pretty well. The yeast culture grew out this morning:( But we got 2 days, so hopefully it's getting weaker. Next time, we aim for 5.  They may switch up the drugs their using to treat it, hoping to make it work better. However the nurses who haven't had him in like a week keep commenting on how much better he looks. He is just so much more healthy acting.
I was a bit disappointed when I left at 7p he had already put out 90cc out of his chest tube. That's up from yesterday and he still has 12 more hours. That was a bummer. Please be praying for speedy recovery, otherwise he may be facing surgery again.
So, slowly, slowly, we take each step towards Shepherd's recovery, not knowing what each day holds, continuing to pray.

My heart is so heavy tonight for our dear friends suffering. Please pray for Reed and his family. They need comfort and peace tonight that this world can't offer.

3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

With each day on this earth, I long more and more for Heaven. Oh what sweetness, what rightness, what wholeness.

Lord, please bring fragments of those things to us here in the midst of our suffering in a world that is not our home.

Please bring yourself to those who suffer. And there are many. So many.

I pray that our God of Peace will be with you today, that you will get much needed rest so that you will gain strength! Your writings encourage my walk with the Lord each day. I stand amazed at how good God is even in the midst of our trials. Praying for you and your family~
