Rain Showers

I'm sitting on our front porch, while the rain is falling ever so gently, a mist blowing onto me as I sit on the porch swing. It is the perfect temperature outside, not too hot and not too cold.
Noah is working in the yard, the boys are taking naps, and best of all Shepherd is sitting in bouncy seat experiencing his first rain shower.
I think that's how God is. I think moments like these are the moments that remind us of Heaven, reminds us of home. These are the moments that remind us of redemption, of what God is making right. These are the moments that bring hope, a remembrance of our Father's touch. Like the rain showering down, God showers down little pieces of His kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
And I just take it in, soak it up, and give thanks.

Psalm 23:1-3
"1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.

3He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
   for his name’s sake."

Shepherd is absolutely precious. So glad you were able to take your baby home. Praying for Shep!
