In about 15 minutes 2 of the doctors are going to do a bedside procedure to remove a major pocket of fluid in Shep's left lung. They will stick a needle through the back of his chest wall and try to pull out some fluid. Please pray for their steady hand and for Shepherd. There is a risk of puncturing his lung, infection, and some other things, but we are grateful that it is less invasive than a chest tube. Thank you for praying with us for his success. We'll let you know.

"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me." 2Sam22.17-20 and 1 Sam 3.18..."He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes." Trusting His faithfulness to strengthen, comfort and sustain all of you. We love you. Special prayers and blessings for your precious little fellow. He's beautiful and what a gift of God for him to land in the Joyner family. Where could he possibly get more love from more people!? Grantie Gail and family

Seeing pictures of Shepherd made me think of Linus from the Charlie Brown Christmas - where Linus (a shepherd in the play actually) is holding his blanket and telling the story of Jesus birth. "That's what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown." I don't know why, but it was just so sweet to think that someday your little boy may be telling his friends about the real meaning of Christmas...for such a delicate beginning, he will likely prove to be quite strong. God just delights in turning all of fears on their heads in the most amazing ways. Stay encouraged friends! With much affection and truly hope-filled prayers, Leslie Ormond (Chapel's mom, from church)
